Sample Itinerary
Day 1
Depart USA for San Jose Airport in Costa Rica.
Guests should arrive in the morning of day 2
Day 2
Arrive at San Jose airport and head out to La Quinta Sarapiqui, where we will be spending our first two nights. On the way we stop to explore the beautiful La Paz Waterfalls and Gardens!
La Paz Waterfalls & Gardens: located in the heart of the central Valley, this location promises an immersive Costa Rican adventure. Explore the vibrant biodiversity and captivating views while walking the many stunning hiking trails the gardens provide.
Day 3
We start with breakfast at the hotel, then spend our day on the Sarapiqui River using Duckies (rafts) to see the beauty of the jungle river.
The Sarapiqui River is an iconic destination in Costa Rica for adventure seekers, offering an exhilarating experience amidst the country’s natural wonders. It stretches approximately 53 miles in lenght, making it an ideal spot for various water-based adventures and exploratory activities.
Day 4
We eat breakfast at the hotel then depart towards the Aquiares Waterfall, an awe-inspiring hike to one of Costa Rica’s many beautiful waterfalls. Afterwards, we make another stop to hike the Irazu Volcano. After, we drive to Turrialba to stay at Hotel Villa Florencia for two nights.
Irazu Volcano: this majestic natural wonder in Costa Rica rises to an elevation of 11,260 feet. Known for its impressive crater and stunning panoramic views, it offers a unique experience for visitors looking to explore the country’s remarkable geological features and experience some adventure.
Day 5
Breakfast at the hotel before heading out on a canyoneering adventure in the Sitio Mata Canyon, a once in a lifetime opportunity to repel down waterfalls and cliffs. This is the perfect adventure for thrill seekers in Costa Rica. We will rappel down 5 different waterfalls before our lunch at Sitio Angostura.
Then back to the Hotel Villa Florencia to overnight.
Day 6
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel we start the first half of our Pacuare River rafting adventure. Afterwards we take to the trees on a zip-line tour, with a massive Tarzan Swing at the Jungle Camp. Then we experience wildlife on another level as we eat dinner by candelight at the jungle camp. Overnight at the Jungle Camp.
Day 7
After breakfast at the Jungle Camp, we start the second half or our Pacuare River Rafting. This is the section of the river that we will find white water rapids. During the trip we will eat lunch on the river as we listen for howler monkeys. After we finish the river, we will drive to San Jose, overnighting at the Holiday Inn near the San Jose Airport.
Day 8
Today we will eat breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the airport to start the journey home.
